Assassin's Creed Introduces Bizarre AoT Crossover for Thanksgiving
In a unexpected crossover event that defies conventional forecasts, the game developer has unveiled an in-game partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, offering complimentary extra story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Questline Uncovered
According to the authorized release, "A mysterious meeting pulls heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new adventure, where whispers of banned practices and monstrous metamorphoses echo through the shadows." The storyline presents a "unusually attired woman named Ada" who charges the characters with venturing into the Crystalline Cavern—a important location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her friend from a secret group.
The adventure concentrates on "strange tests and a terrifying foe" and is open to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Iconic Settings and Transformations
The preview highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The preview finishes with a dramatic moment showing a character, presumably the hostage, morphing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Unique Prizes and Additional Features
Players who successfully complete the adventure will acquire an exclusive katana in addition to several items hidden throughout the area in secret chests. The update also contains purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, offering:

Latest Free Story Content
This patch also adds the game's latest no-cost story episode, titled "The Enigma." This lighthearted adventure partners Naoe and Yasuke as they exchange distinctive techniques: Naoe reveals a performative variation of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke masters subduing stealth takedowns. True to its name, "The Enigma" also includes a new environmental puzzle that may ultimately explain some unresolved questions from the main storyline.

The series formerly included a 2020 crossover story uniting Assassin's Creed: Valhalla with Makoto Yukimura's Vinland Saga.
