Incredible $30 Cartography Humble Bundle Is a Virtual Tabletop GM's Dream

Following a short availability back in April, the Map Making Mega Bundle is back for a limited time that lasts through early December. Described as an extensive collection of mapping tools created by a specialized software company over the years, the complete package carries a value of over $1,300. The Main Attraction

The standout feature is definitely a lifetime license to the CC3+ software, a professional-grade mapping application that can be used to generate various types including fantasy overworld maps, detailed regional charts, urban layouts, and most notably, dungeon and tabletop battle maps.

The most affordable option, starting at just one dollar, includes only four from the thirty-nine available products: Fantasy Overland Symbol Collection, Monster Token Pack 1, Castle Source Maps, Urban Source Maps. This package suits cartographers who already have CC3+, but it does offer new fantasy symbol styles for overworld maps, more than 750 monster tokens for use in virtual tabletops, over twenty-five aerial castle designs with 470 associated map tokens, eight complete urban centers, and more than 70 urban floorplans.

Mid-Range Option

The eight-item bundle starting at fifteen dollars is where things get more interesting by adding in a lifetime CC3+ license, Cartographer's Annual Vol 1, Tome of Ultimate Mapping, and Symbol Set 6: Isometric Cities. Cartographer's Annual is the yearly bundle from ProFantasy's long-running monthly subscription service which includes a variety CC3+ add-ons including map packs and additional utilities. Isometric Cities lets you present urban areas in 3D perspective using angled views from all sides. And the Tome of Ultimate Mapping comprises 760 pages for beginners and "power users" alike, packed with guidance and instructions for the map-making process.

All 17 volumes from the Annual series come with this bundle, plus numerous other resource and asset packs that can help users craft complete solar systems, or just go all-in on classic fantasy realm creation: battle maps, dungeons, urban centers, and continents in multiple viewpoints. At thirty versus fifteen dollars, the complete collection is so worth it, particularly for mappers who have only the annual CC3+ license seeking permanent licensing. However, it's clearly more advantageous for map-making newbies since it includes introductory guides to facilitate learning. The sole limitation though the purchase is available across platforms, the software is only usable with Windows systems.
